Re: shed foundation on slope few years ago i built a small shed for myself (8x10) on a slope front to back with a 6x6 for the beam on the back 10' side with two piers 1' in from each end. the front beam sat dirrectly on the ground.. Foundation for shed on wet ground hi, i will be involving a structural engineer in this , but just wanted a general opinion im looking at a garden shed, ( quite big ) 8m x 3m , in cavity block.. Garden shed.12ftx8ft. wet wet soft clay. discussion in 'in the garden' started by mreco, 14 jan 2008. either that or it will be above the ground by abouty 150mm at one end (level at the other) you could either dig deep to get a solid foundation, or just sit the shed on top and go with the flow..
